The clockwork was milled on the back so that it is flush with the wood. Therefore, problem-free wall mounting is possible.

Interesting facts about ash wood:
Ash wood is very versatile and has often been used for tool handles, ski production etc...
Today, ash wood is also used in furniture construction, interior design, parquets, step construction, etc.

The proportion of ash trees in Austria's forests is relatively low (approx. 1%) and the ash tree population is seriously threatened by an introduced fungus.

But don't worry, this ash tree wasn't felled for this beautiful watch ;)

Ash wood is considered to be rather heavy and hard, tough and elastic.

The ash tree can be found at heights of up to 1,200 meters and can live up to 250 years. It can grow up to 40 meters high and reach a trunk diameter of 2 meters. The ash tree also has its place in Nordic mythology (world ash Yggdrasil).
