Wooden wall clock/grandfather clock made of ash wood.
Ash wood is very versatile and has often been used for tool handles, ski production etc...Today, ash wood is also used in furniture construction, interior design, parquets, step construction, etc.
The proportion of ash trees in Austria's forests is relatively low (approx. 1%) and the ash tree population is seriously threatened by an introduced fungus. But don't worry, this ash tree wasn't felled for this beautiful watch.
Ash wood is considered to be rather heavy and hard, tough and elastic. The ash tree can be found at heights of up to 1,200 meters and can live up to 250 years. It can grow up to 40 meters high and reach a trunk diameter of 2 meters.
The ash tree also has its place in Nordic mythology (world ash Yggdrasil). The wood of this clock is light and warm - and yet individually shaped by a former "subtenant" and is absolutely unique.
Give your home an individual touch that no one else has hanging on their wall. This is a handmade unique piece, Made in Austria. The wood itself comes from a real Styrian ash tree.
The surface has been waxed. The clock is powered by a quartz movement with a battery (AA). The front of the clock has been carefully sanded.
The clockwork was milled on the back so that it is flush with the wood. Therefore, problem-free wall mounting is possible.
